Kingsmere 2003

September 6 was likely to be the last warm weekend of 2003. Warren suggested that we make a day canoe trip to Kingsmere Lake in Prince Albert National Park. In fact, we had contemplated making an overnight trip, but thought that Joyce might have balked at this and opted to stay home, so we planned to break the ice (not literally we hoped) by making it a one-day trip

This was to be a trip along "memory lane" as we had not been back to Kingsmere to canoe since our first ever canoe trip in 1989.

We decided to take the scenic old highway (Sask. 263), into the Park at South Gate and then north to Waskesiu.
